Volunteer Opportunities....
Social Events: Assistance is needed to plan, organize, & implement monthly social events sponsored by The Arc for adults with disabilities. Some events throughout the year include a Halloween Dance, Spring Fling, Chili Supper, Pizza Party, Karaoke, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Picnic, etc.
The Arc Mentor Connection: Develop a friendship with an adult who has a developmental disability. This year long match encourages socialization and new opportunities for a minimum of four hours a month.
Office Support: Support The Arc! Volunteers are needed on an "as needed" basis. Duties may include filing, placing follow-up phone calls, stuffing envelopes, labeling, database entry, and/or helping with monthly special event preparation.
Summer Day Program: This seven week, daily program provides services for children ages 4-21 including educational, social/leisure, behavorial and pre-vocational components.
Fundraising Events: The Arc is involved in special events year round that are developed to raise money to support the organization's programs and services. Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks during these concentrated times. Events include the annual benefit golf outing, The Arc March, Wrapping for a Cause, and others!
Public Awareness: Volunteers are needed to assist The Arc in informing and educating the community about intellectual and developmental disabilities during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Campaign, The Arc March, and more.
