Since 1953, The Arc of East Central Iowa has worked diligently to increase community awareness for people with disabilities. Every March, National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is celebrated around the country. The Arc participates by hosting an annual awareness walk called, The Arc March.
The Arc March provides an opportunity for individuals with disabilities, family members, friends, and advocates to march in an effort to raise awareness and support for people with disabilities.
On Saturday, March 1st, 2008 over 800 people are expected to attend The Arc's 11th Annual Awareness Walk. The morning will be filled with fun and excitement. Below are pictures of a few special moments captured from last year's event.
