1. Registration will be open on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd day of each month for Respite GetAways scheduled for the following month. For example, registration for a March 13th GetAway would be February 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The first first three days of the month include weekends and holidays. Everyone registering within the designated period will have an equal chance to attend the Getway subject to rules stated in #3.
2. A registration request may be made by connecting with the Respite GetAway voicemail at (319) 365-0487 x1050 or (800) 843-0272 x1050 or at connect@arceci.org. Families may also register by speaking with their Service & Support Coordinator.
3. If the requested registrations exceed the available slots, The Arc will fill participant slots by reviewing previous attendance at GetAways and/or by an objective lottery method to determine the individuals who will be given slots for the GetAway. Those who have not attended previous GetAways will be given higher priority in determining eligibility.
4. The Arc will notify all consumers or their representatives of their status (accepted or on a waiting list) immediately after the GetAway participant list is completed, but no later than the 15th of the month.
