Research Participation Opportunity -- Adult Siblings of Individuals with Disabilities Research

The Arc of the United States has awarded grant funding to the National Sibling Consortium and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development to conduct research on the relationship between individuals with disabilities and their adult siblings. To better understand this long-lasting relationship, the consortium has created the "Adult Sibling Questionnaire" for anyone age 18 or over with a sister or brother with disabilities.

The questionnaire should take 20-25 minutes to complete, all answers are anonymous, and participation is voluntary. A summary of the results of the questionnaire will be provided to those who request it. In addition, the findings will be presented at The Arc's 2006 National Convention in San Diego , and in other publications and scientific journals.

If you are 18 years of age or older and have a brother or sister with disabilities, please participate! If you know individuals who are siblings, please alert them of this important research opportunity!
